Dear People of Action,

Reminder, tomorrow night we will host our distinguished Rotary District 6380 Governor Bala Murthy!  It's the 4th Monday of the month, so we meet at 5:30 PM at the township Aubrees.  D.G. Murthy will share his/our vision for growing Rotary so we can be even more effective at doing good in our communities. Our newest member Stephen Moore will be inducted.  Past District Governor and Ypsi Rotary Club member Karen Gabrys will finally return, after surgery and a prolonged convalescence, to receive her Paul Harris pin!  Everyone who attends will receive a District pin from Governor Murthy.  The township Aubrees is located at 2122 Whittaker Road, Ypsilanti.  You are welcome to bring your significant other or a potential new member to this special event!  We will meet in person in the VIP Room or you can ZOOM in with this link:  https://us05web.zoom.us/j/83357257075?pwd=TVRIQ2F6c0NVaUhOT2h4djY4UEd1dz09  See you there!

Jim Nelson and his wife Jean, Steve Moore and I worked with about a dozen Riverside Arts Center (RAC) Board members and friends yesterday morning.  I have to say, the pocket park looks great now!  How fortunate that our about-to-be newest member Steve has some gardening skills and a lot of energy, as our work at the RAC is one of our longest community collaborations.  Thanks to all who helped!

Our District Governor may remind us during his visit tomorrow that he is encouraging Rotarians to volunteer for the Detroit Free Press Marathon as a fun way of raising the profile of Rotary while providing needed services to the runners.  I've signed up, have you?  If you haven't, here are the particulars, plus a link:
